1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your", "user") and PMMilestone.org ("we", "our", "us"), an educational project controls platform founded and operated by Dr. Hassan Eliwa. By accessing or using any part of pmmilestone.org — including the home page, the calculator library, articles, guides, the Project Controls Academy, downloadable resources, newsletter subscriptions or any future paid or free offering — you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms you must stop using the Platform immediately.
2. About the Platform
PMMilestone.org is an independent educational resource for project managers, PMO leaders, planners, schedulers, cost engineers, contract administrators, project controls professionals, construction managers and students pursuing project management certifications. The Platform publishes free interactive calculators, written articles, technical guides, reference material, glossary entries, downloadable templates and curated insights. The Platform is not affiliated with the Project Management Institute (PMI), AACE International, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Association for Project Management (APM) or any other professional body. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least sixteen years old to use this Platform. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use PMMilestone.org only for lawful, professional and educational purposes. You agree that you will not, and will not permit any third party to:
- Use the Platform in any manner that violates any applicable local, national or international law or regulation.
- Engage in automated scraping, crawling, harvesting or large-scale extraction of content other than via well-behaved search-engine crawlers respecting robots.txt.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its servers, related infrastructure or any user account.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive source code beyond what is publicly viewable in browser developer tools.
- Introduce viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware or any other malicious code to the Platform or its users.
- Republish substantial portions of our content on another website, in a book, course, AI training dataset or commercial product without prior written permission and attribution.
- Misrepresent yourself, impersonate any person, or use the Platform to defraud, defame or harass any third party.
5. Educational Purpose & Calculator Disclaimer
All calculators, formulas, dashboards, KPIs, templates, examples and written guidance provided on PMMilestone.org are intended for general educational and informational purposes only. They illustrate widely accepted concepts in earned value management, schedule analysis, forecasting, risk management and project controls, but they are not a substitute for professional judgement, project-specific analysis or accredited consulting advice.
Calculators on this Platform run entirely in your browser and produce results based solely on the numerical inputs you provide. We do not store, validate, audit or verify those inputs. Calculated outputs (including SPI, CPI, SV, CV, EAC, ETC, VAC, TCPI, schedule float, productivity ratios, risk scores, health indices and similar indicators) are estimates. They must not be used as the sole basis for any contractual claim, payment certification, commercial decision, dispute resolution, safety determination or regulatory submission. Always validate results with qualified project controls professionals and against your organisation's own approved cost and schedule baselines.
6. No Professional Advice
Nothing on PMMilestone.org constitutes legal advice, accounting advice, engineering advice, occupational health and safety advice, financial advice, investment advice or formal project management consultancy. Use of the Platform does not create a consultant-client, attorney-client, advisor-client or fiduciary relationship. You should always consult appropriately qualified professionals before acting on any information you read here.
7. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all content on PMMilestone.org — including text, calculators, source code, formulas as they are explained and presented, graphics, logos, illustrations, page layouts, dashboards, downloadable templates and the overall "look and feel" of the Platform — is the intellectual property of PMMilestone.org and Dr. Hassan Eliwa, and is protected by international copyright, trademark and database-rights laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for personal, professional and educational purposes. You may quote short excerpts of articles and cite individual calculator results in your own work provided you give clear attribution to PMMilestone.org and link back to the original page. Any other use — including reproduction, redistribution, modification, public display, training of artificial-intelligence models, incorporation into commercial training programmes or sale — requires our prior written consent.
8. AI-Assisted Content
Some articles, examples or supporting material on the Platform may be drafted, edited, translated or illustrated with the assistance of artificial-intelligence tools. All such content is reviewed by Dr. Hassan Eliwa or by qualified project controls reviewers before publication. Nonetheless, AI-assisted content may contain inaccuracies, omissions, anachronisms or out-of-date references. Use it as a starting point, not as ground truth, and always cross-check critical statements against primary sources such as PMI standards, AACE recommended practices, building codes, contract documents or peer-reviewed literature.
9. External Links
The Platform contains hyperlinks to third-party websites, services and resources (including eliwa.co.nz, pmmilestone3.com, professional bodies, training providers, publishers and software vendors). These links are provided for convenience and reference only. We do not control these external sites, do not endorse their content unless explicitly stated, and accept no responsibility for their availability, accuracy, content, products, services or privacy practices.
10. Affiliate Disclosure & Future Monetisation
To remain free and independent, PMMilestone.org is monetised through Google AdSense advertising, may participate in affiliate programmes (such as Amazon Associates, Coursera, Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, project management certification providers and software vendors), may publish clearly labelled sponsored articles, and may in future introduce paid premium content, downloadable templates, training courses or membership tiers. Where a link is an affiliate link, we may earn a commission if you make a qualifying purchase at no additional cost to you. Affiliate compensation never influences our editorial recommendations.
11. Newsletter and Communications
When you subscribe to our newsletter, request the Free AI PM Toolkit or download other gated resources, you consent to receive related email communications. Every email contains an unsubscribe link; you can withdraw your consent at any time.
12. User-Submitted Content
Any feedback, suggestions, questions, ideas or other content that you voluntarily submit to PMMilestone.org through the contact form, comments, email or social media is provided on a non-confidential and royalty-free basis. We may use, reproduce, modify and incorporate such feedback into the Platform without further obligation or compensation to you. Do not send us confidential or proprietary information.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PMMilestone.org, Dr. Hassan Eliwa, contributors, sponsors and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages — including, without limitation, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of goodwill, project delay costs, contractual penalties, cost overruns, reputational harm or any other intangible loss — arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of or inability to use the Platform, its calculators, its content, any external link or any future paid service.
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or free of viruses or other harmful components.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless PMMilestone.org, Dr. Hassan Eliwa, contributors and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Auckland, New Zealand, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When material changes are made, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised and, where appropriate, additional notice will be provided on the home page or by email. Continued use of the Platform following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
